Pride and Prejudice Shirt: The Story

A few months ago if you had asked me if I thought I would be styling a tee shirt this summer I would have said “absolutely not.” Well… I would have been wrong.

It all started when I posted a picture on my Instagram of me in a shirt with a Pride and Prejudice quote on it (one of my absolute favorite books). I bought the shirt a few years ago, and due to a couple of pregnancies, it had been sitting in my drawer for quite some time. I almost chose a different shirt to wear because it’s starting to get a little faded, but the comfiness won me over.

After posting and getting so much excitement over it, I thought it might be fun to come up with five different summer outfit ideas with this one shirt. I had so much fun coming up with various styles, and was a bit surprised at how many more I could have done.

One day as this was all taking place, a friend of mine texted me. She told me she had this crazy idea: since it was hard to track down a shirt like mine, what if I considered hand-letting one and selling it! I’m not normally an adventurous, risk-taking type of person, but all-of-a-sudden I found myself super excited! I love hand-lettering, and so mixing that with one of my favorite tee shirts and being able to offer it to others sounded fantastic! So, after multiple trials and input from friends, I found myself hitting “Place Order” on a bundle of shirts!
